Problems: pull cord broke, gas switch ripped out, engine oil black (only a 4-6 ozs of it, lol), no oil in pump, need connector for wand at pump. Wow, don't know if it would be better 2part this one out (put it down) or rebuild it...
Any who, Threw away the busted Rip-Cord housing. Riveted one on from an old 8hp I had. Installed new fuel line at carb. Mounted fuel switch. Note: Fuel switch wouldn't fit back in trim (Some one put a switch on that isn't for that model...)
Filled with 30wt oil and req. 6ozs. of pump oil.
Tested it and amazingly it ran well and sprayed without surging.
As you can see this one is named Alan.
On retrospect, it would probably be better to name them more uncommon names..
Scratch, his name is mutt (for the different parts on it).
